Crucible Knife Steels - Now In Stock 23 September 2016 David We have added two new knife steels to our stock range from Crucible Industries in the US. Both are made using there crucible powder metallurgy process to give an extremely fine grain structure to the steels. Other benefits include easy polishing and grinding and improved corrosion resistance when compared to normally manufactured steels. CPM-154 CPM-154 is Crucible Industries powder metallurgy version of 154CM. It is an equivalent of RWL34 steel. It is easy grinding and polishing, with better corrosion, wear resistance and higher toughness than 440C. It also has excellent edge retention. CPM-10V (AISI A11) CPM-10V is a high Vanadium steel providing superior wear resistance with maintaining toughness comparable to D2 and M2 steels. Heat treatable up to 64-65HRC.
